Cancer Related Fatigue Group meeting
Although cancer related fatigue (CRF) is very common amongst patients and can persist for years after treatment has finished, it is poorly understood and undertreated. The CRF Group at Sussex Cancer Research Centre has recently formed to tackle this challenging issue. We invite anyone with an interest in CRF, including clinicians, researchers, patients and students, to attend this meeting and find out more. The meeting will include an introduction to CRF and our group, presentations on current research, discussion of ideas and future plans, and a tour of facilities.
When: Monday 19th May 2025 15:00-17:00 Where: School of Education, Sport and Health Sciences, Falmer campus, BN1 9PH

Sussex scientists to investigate impact of genetic mutations for aggressive blood cancer
University of Sussex researchers have been awarded funding from an international charity to research how certain genetic mutations worsen survival rates in the disease, acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).
Dr Rhys Morgan and his team at the University of Sussex are focusing on the WT1 gene as there are currently no satisfactory agents for targeting this mutation in AML patients.
